I have known Helene since we were in Miss Applewhite’s room, second grade at Fisher. We went through all those years in school; and then lost contact for50 years. We reconnected at the mini-reunions at Hunt; and then, Bill and I started playing bridge with her and Eddie twice a week almost 7 years ago. She was a good friend and I will miss her a lot. I admired her for not complaining about her physical condition and for many other traits.

I too was in Miss Blassigames nursery and Miss Applewhite’s 2nd grade class at Fisher with Heleen. We also drifted apart, but only because of me not living in a Corpus. She was always delightful and wow was she smart. A special Lady, God Bless!
