RICHARD FENSTER Richard Allen Fenster, 69, of Las Vegas, passed away July 7, 2011, after courageously battling Stage IV kidney cancer for over two years. He was born May 25, 1942, in San Antonio, and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a 35-year resident of Las Vegas. Richard graduated from Texas A&M as an electrical engineer and worked at the Nevada Test Site for 16 years and at the Yucca Mountain Project for eight years before retiring. He was accomplished in option trading, rebuilding computers, creating beautiful pieces of furniture, inventing and was a pilot. He recently wrote an e-book on options investing, a course which he developed himself and was very proud of, as well as a collection of stories of his experiences in Venezuela, El Salvador, and at the Test Site. His family meant everything to him. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Gloria; sons, Marc Fenster (Jin) of Pacific Palisades, Calif., and Eric Fenster (Christina) of Littleton, Colo.; his mother, Idabel Fenster; his sister, Lisa Bogg (Rod), all of Las Vegas; stepson, Jonathan Golberg (Monique) of Boynton Beach, Fla.; stepdaughter, Stefany Golberg (Morgan Meis) of New York, N.Y.; mother-in-law, Helen Rosenzweig of Montreal, Canada; and eight grandchildren, Maddie, Dani, Reagan and Reilly Fenster and Meira, Leah, Sophia and Avi Golberg. He was preceded in death by his father, Irving Fenster. He was loved very much by his family and will be deeply missed. Services will be at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 10, at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Cancer Association, www.kidneycancer.org or P.O.
