Douglas James passed away August 1, 2006 in Gulf Breeze, Florida.

 

Doug was born March 7, 1942 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a member of The Gulf Breeze (Florida) Methodist Church. A 1960 graduate of W.B. Ray High School, he served his country in the US Marine Corps. After his service, Doug attended Del Mar Junior College, where he was an active member of The Young Democrats and the Order of DeMolay. Doug later attended The University of Texas in Austin.

He resided in Houston, Texas for several years where his two children Doug Jr and Nanci Marie were born.

 

 

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Elvie Crisp. He is survived by his wife, Darlene and his step-daughter, Heather of Gulf Breeze, Florida, his son, Douglas James Crisp Jr. of Midland, Texas, his daughter, Nanci Marie Crisp, Soldotna, Alaska, his brother Richard DeWitt Crisp, Castro Valley, California and mother Florine Crisp Faulk of Gulf Breeze, Florida. Other survivors include his uncle Vernon Crisp, Corpus Christi, Texas and cousins Sandra Bell, Robert King, Harvey Haskett, Walton Johnson, Marvin Johnson, Cecil Allen Jr., Phyllis Allen, Theressa Adams, Dan Burgess, Cletus Burgess, Willliam Ray Crisp, Jr., Pamela Phillips, Brenda Crisp, Tami Crisp and his extended family, Margaret Alsup and her son DeWitt.

 

Doug was interred at Seaside Memorial Mausoleum next his father, Elvie. A memorial service will be held at his uncle Vernon’s home on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 5pm. Call 510 305 5581 (brother) or 361 852 3451 (uncle) for more details.
