Mary Ann (Wenzel) Harris
PAIGE, TX
Mary Ann (Wenzel) Harris, age 70, of Paige, Texas passed away November 8, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born on January 22, 1942 in Corpus Christi, Texas to J.W. and Bertha Wenzel. She graduated from W. B. Ray High School in 1960. Mary Ann worked all her adult life in many different fields and retired from Texas Department of State Health Services. She was a member Celebration Community Church in Bastrop, Texas. In 2011, she and her husband Jerry lost their home to The Bastrop Fires. They rebuilt bigger and better in the same location and she told everyone she was blessed to have the home of their dreams.
She is preceded in death by her parents J.W. and Bertha Wenzel; her brother, Walter Wenzel, and her granddaughter, MiKayla Dancy.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jerry Harris of Paige, Texas; brother, J.W. Wenzel of Corpus Christi, Texas, daughter, Lisa Langley of Corpus Christi, Texas; son, Greg Beaty and wife, Kristi of Duncanville, Texas; son, Jason Bourassa of Corpus Christi, Texas and son, Warren Harris of Butte Montana; grandchildren: William Paul Massey, Candace, Samantha and Pierce Beaty and Joseph and Trentin Harris.
A memorial service will be held at Celebration Community Church, 111 Longhorn Street Bastrop, Texas at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 17, 2012.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in the name of Mary Ann Harris to Celebration Recovery, Box 1178, Bastrop Texas 78602.
