I first remember Mike from our days in Little League. We got to be friends at Hamlin and remained friends until the time of his death. I went to SMU my freshman year of college and my room in the dorm was next to Mike's room. He often loaned me his car so I could go out on dates. He was a great guy and a terrific football player. I think he would have become an All American at SMU and a professional football player. I often think of Mike and I know he is missed by all of us who knew him. Ronnie
I remember the day we lost you, where I was, and what I was doing. I have never forgotten. I still see you, blond hair, blue eyes. a young boy, with his life in front of him. I thought the other day how you never lived long enough to attend one of our reunions, but now I know you had "a front row seat" for all of them! How many times when Fred and I lived on Floyd Street, did I walk down and stand in front of your house hoping you would walk out the front door once again!
