Tena was a special friend. What a talented lady! I remember when we entered a contest (I think it was Miss Corpus Christi),she did a fabulous lipsink and dance for her "talent." When I returned to Corpus in 1970, she was working at an employment agency and suggested I take a portfolio to Channel III. I was hired in the art department where I learned brush lettering, made little clouds, lightening, raindrops, etc. for the weather board, and learned how to develop reverse negatives for chroma-key prices...wow, it's amazing the changes in technology since that time! Tena was always an encourager. She's responsible for my becoming part of a Rice study tour to Spain in the early 80's. She called and said, "Jody, there's an opening and you should go...you have two weeks to get ready!" With both her and my husband, Bob's help...I got my passport and off I went! And I still envision her, perfectly dressed and coifed...looking fabulous! Hope her daughter reads this someday...lost contact! Fondly remembering Tena.....Jo Carole (Jody) McCulley
