Zeke Serna, age 69, was called home to Jesus February 5, 2011 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Zeke was a retired Realtor and veteran of the United States Navy, having proudly served his country on the USS Oriskany. He will be remembered as a jovial family man with a very kind heart, always available to help those in need. He enjoyed ranching and gardening.

Zeke was born October 4, 1941 in Laredo, Texas to Pablo and Mela Serna, who preceded him in death; he was preceded in death by his son, David, who was called home to Jesus in 1992 at the age of 19.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary; his son, Rev. Father J. Patrick Serna; daughter, Erika Serna Bouts; son-in-law, Vincent, and grandson, David Augustine; he is also survived by his siblings: Judith S. Garza (Gabe), Pepe (Diane), Henry, and Richard (Oralia).
