Shirley Ann O'Connor, 61, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2003 after an extended illness. She was born on September 8, 1942 in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Michael and Verda Pope O'Connor. She was a 1960 graduate of W.B. Ray High School, and attended Del Mar College. She was associated with the Law Firm of Chaves Gonzales and Hoblit.
She is survived by two sons, Bradley Nixon and Michael O'Connor both of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Kathryn Moeller of Houston and Sharron Odle of Corpus Christi, and two granddaughters, Nicole Nixon and Jennifer Nixon.

My memories of Shirley go back far beyond high school to Refugio, Texas, where we were "best friends" for the time she lived there. I never thought I would see her again, but lo and behold, there she was at Ray!! It was fun to re-establish our freindship in high school. I know she is missed by her children and family. Having just lost my oldest son, I know what a huge hole is left in the lives of survivors. I remember Shirley and will keep her in my memory always. Lynda Millican Scheele
