Paul Goodman passed away on Thursday, the 30th of January 2014, at a Hospital in Houston, at the age of 70.

Paul was born in Columbia, South Carolina, on the 6th of March 1943. He graduated in 1960, from W.B. Ray High School, in Corpus Christi. Paul was an antique dealer with a passion for Japanese swords and art. He was a founding member of the Houston Token Kai Sword Society. He had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and loved to travel.

Paul is preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Bishop Goodman; and his father, Dr. Paul Goodman Sr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Martha Strauss Goodman; his daughter, Laura Goodman of Allen, Texas; his son, Michael Goodman; his step-mother, Dorothy Goodman of Corpus Christi, Texas; and other relatives and friends.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock this afternoon until seven o'clock this evening, Tuesday, the 4th of February, in the drawing room of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

A memorial service celebrating his life is to be conducted at noon on Wednesday, the 5th of February, in the chapel of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 3471 Westheimer Road in Houston, where the Rev. Bill Denham, Pastor of Caring Ministries, is to officiate.

Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the nearby Hines Baker Room.

Prior to the service, the family will have gathered for a private interment at Brookside Memorial Park in Houston.
