I grew up with the Brister twins in the 50's, Larry and Tommy. Miss them both all these years; my fault for not connecting. Tommy was the wild adventurous one and Larry was the one who worried and was the controller in a good way. I remember them like yesterday having great times. God Speed Larry!
As neighorhood kids, Larry and Tommy Brister and I were best friends for years. Even as a very young man Larry was always a very special person. He kept me and Tommy out of a lot of trouble. Larry was always one of the finest people that I ever knew. RIP my friend.
Larry was attacked, beaten and his truck stolen last March. He was still in the hospital 45 days later. 2 teens were arrested. How sad for a very nice person, I remember well, to have something like that happen to him, close to home and just out getting food. RIP.
